PREPOSITIONS

.I / PREPOSITIONS OF PLACE
     1. at: is used for a place when the exact position is not very important.
-at home:   He works at home.
                     I went home early. (No went to home).
                     I arrived home late. (No prep. with arrive home).
-at work/school/college/university:   He is at work now = He works at home now.
-at the station/airport/door/office/seaside/crossroad /bus stop/cinema:   He was standing at the gate.
-at the top/bottom (of the page/hill...):   Write your name at the top of the page.
-at the next corner:   Turn right at the next corner.
-at the front/back (of the building/group of people).
-at the beginning/end (of a lesson).
-at the party/meeting/concert/match/lecture.
-at the doctor's (office)/hairdresser's (shop)/butcher's (store).
-at Mike's (house):   They were at Mike's last night.
-at 73 Shirley Street; at 65 Albert Avenue.
-He is at Oxford (=Oxford University).
-He is at the London School of Economics.
-The train stops for an hour at Frankfrurt (at Frankfurt station).
